Typography Comparison — Preview Only

Choosing a display font for artwork titles

Every card below is identical — same image treatment, same title size, same weight, same spacing. Only the font of the title changes. Read each collection name, then the small gold caption beneath it naming the font.

This is an isolated preview. It does not change any typography on the live site. The 10 Google Fonts load only on this page. Whichever font is chosen for production should be self-hosted (not left as a Google link) for speed and privacy — the live theme currently uses a system serif stack with no font files.

These are the gold standard for luxury galleries and fashion houses, but they are paid commercial licenses (not on Google Fonts) and are not rendered below — shown only to mark where they would fit. Rendered here in the fallback serif.

4 · Ranking for The Aiman Studio

Ranked specifically for a black-luxury site of original paintings — museum feeling, editorial, Dubai luxury, minimal, art gallery. Not a general ranking.

1

Instrument Serif — Top pick (free)

Modern-museum character with high-contrast strokes that glow against black, yet minimal enough to never fight the art. Reads as contemporary Dubai luxury rather than antique. Best all-round fit for collection and hero titles.

2

Libre Bodoni / Bodoni Moda — Fashion-gallery pick (free)

The most overtly "luxury fashion" of the free options: dramatic thick/thin contrast that feels like a gallery invitation. Slightly less minimal, so pair with generous spacing. Ideal if you want more drama in the headings.

3

Newsreader — Editorial pick (free)

Architectural-Digest calm: refined, supremely readable, and works for both titles and body — the safest choice if you want one family across the whole site. Less "statement", more quiet confidence.

If budget allows — Canela or PP Editorial New (paid)

These outclass every free option for a signature luxury identity. Recommended only once the brand is ready to license and self-host a commercial face.
